On Friday, July 29 staff and friends of Detroit Area on Aging boarded the amazing Ovation yacht for the 14th annual summer cruise – “Making Waves.” Besides the fun and fellowship, guests enjoyed a premium seafood buffet and open bar, top-notch entertainment, and stunning views of Lake St. Clair. The event helps DAA continue funding its mission of serving older adults in Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park, and the five Grosse Pointes. For one of the photo albums of the evening, click HERE

On August 20, the annual Strides for Seniors was launched at St. Pat Senior Center - featuring a yard sale, DJ Tim and dancing, and a lunch of Detroit favorites like Coney Dogs, Boston Coolers and Better Made Chips. The September long campaign promotes our neighborhood senior centers, powered by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Rec and St. Pat. Here's a 60 second video of the excitement.
