2023: A Great Day at Hannan Center!

The Emerge! Art Festival at Hannan Center presented a new high of artists 55 and older. The arts-focused day of activitities on August 26 was beyond inspiring and one to remember and celebrate. Juried by prominend art professionals, artists submitted up to two pieces of their best work.

3rd Place – Rosemary Summers, “21st Century Family”

Emerge! is made possible by the Charlton Foundation and The Michigan Arts & Culture Council. The exhibit will be open through September 13.

Kickoff to 2026

On August 20, the annual Strides for Seniors was launched at St. Pat Senior Center - featuring a yard sale, DJ Tim and dancing, and a lunch of Detroit favorites like Coney Dogs, Boston Coolers and Better Made Chips.  The September long campaign promotes our neighborhood senior centers, powered by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Rec and St. Pat.  Here's a 60 second video of the excitement.
