The Strides for Seniors FRIDAY LIVE! visited Kemeny Rec Center in Southwest Detroit on September 16. DJ Rick Love kept the dances moving, and there was an amazing bingo session, snacks and drinks, health screenings, Covid-19 boosters, and a delicious boxed lunch. Kickoff to 2026
On August 20, the annual Strides for Seniors was launched at St. Pat Senior Center - featuring a yard sale, DJ Tim and dancing, and a lunch of Detroit favorites like Coney Dogs, Boston Coolers and Better Made Chips. The September long campaign promotes our neighborhood senior centers, powered by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Rec and St. Pat. Here's a 60 second video of the excitement.
