2020: “Grandma Art” Exhibit at Hannan Center Now Through September 30

The Hannan Center’s amazing Kayrod Gallery – which has recently been expanded and remodeled – presents the exhibit “Grandma Art” exhibit now through September 30.

September is Grandparents Month. As the curators state: “Grandmother plays a unique role in each person’s life, but she is an essential and pivotal figure in all families and in society at large.”

Please visit this impactful multimedia exhibit in partnership with Mint Artists Guild. Regular hours are 10 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday, and it is asked that visitors call 833-1300, ext 0, to make a reservation to see the show.

Kickoff to 2026

On August 20, the annual Strides for Seniors was launched at St. Pat Senior Center - featuring a yard sale, DJ Tim and dancing, and a lunch of Detroit favorites like Coney Dogs, Boston Coolers and Better Made Chips.  The September long campaign promotes our neighborhood senior centers, powered by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Rec and St. Pat.  Here's a 60 second video of the excitement.
