On the last Thursdays of the month, St. Patrick Senior joins forces with Kemeny Rec Center to distribute fresh produce to seniors in southwest Detroit zip code 48217. This is part of a partnership between the two centers – funded by the Pulte Family Foundation – where St. Pat helps provide a number of services at Kemeny. On August 20, the annual Strides for Seniors was launched at St. Pat Senior Center - featuring a yard sale, DJ Tim and dancing, and a lunch of Detroit favorites like Coney Dogs, Boston Coolers and Better Made Chips. The September long campaign promotes our neighborhood senior centers, powered by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Rec and St. Pat. Here's a 60 second video of the excitement.
