St. Pat Center’s Clara Doutly Celebrates 100 Years

Anyone picking up a copy of the October 22 Detroit Free Press would have seen a front-page story about St. Pat Center’s Clara Doutly and her 100th birthday celebration the day before at the Gaelic League.

Organized by her great companion Katie Moylan, the party was filled with many friends and dignitaries – including members of the “Rosie the Riveter” organization, since Clara served as a Rosie during World War II. That’s Clara in the middle of the picture with some of the group. Also pictured are St Pat’s friends Gary Marchetti and Doc Ewing, who lent so much to the occasion with their pipe and drum performances! Congratulations, Clara!
